Cheap Reno Hotel. Cheap Reno Food. Cheap Reno Living:
Looking for Cheap Travel or Cheap Living? Choose Reno!
Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada with a population of over 200,000. It is also known as “The biggest little city in the world, “ and these famous words can be seen on the Reno Arch, stretching across the heart of downtown.
Driving from the San Francisco Bay Area to Reno only takes about four hours, and because food, hotels, shopping and activities are more affordable compared to California, Reno is the cheapest place to take a family vacation or just get away with a friend.
Flying from San Francisco to Reno International Airport only takes about half an hour, so be sure to look for cheap airline tickets online. Free airport shuttle busses provided by Reno casino hotels are available at the airport to make sure you get to your hotel quickly to settle in and start having fun.
Busses also take visitors from the Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe, departing every hour. Passengers enjoy a short, scenic ride straight to the Montbleu Tahoe Casino. Renting a car at the airport might be the best way to go if you want to get around, since rental car rates are a lot cheaper than in other metropolitan areas. You can book rental car reservations online.
Reno hotels and casinos always have promotions, coupon books and discounts, with Club Cal Neva and Circus Circus offering the cheapest Reno hotel rates. The Peppermill recently completed its luxurious Tuscany Tower, and they offer luxury suite deals from time to time. Luckily for you, casinos compete with each other by offering excellent restaurant discounts and promotions. You can get breakfast for as low as $2.00, or steak and eggs for as low as $3.99, at the Club Cal Neva for instance. The all you can eat buffets are very popular, of course. Try the $5.50 all you can eat buffet at Terrible’s Rail City.
Unlike Las Vegas, Reno casino table games and slot machines have lower minimum bets. Table games start from a $2.00 minimum bet and penny slot machines let you play a pennyevery time. There are evenfree slots to play or free drawings available at some casinos, as well as cheap show tickets.
Shopping in Nevada is a lot cheaper than in California as well. Reno is home to big giants such as Wal-mart ,Costco and other discount stores, but many new shopping malls have been built up in the last few years, most notably The Summit in South Reno.
Due to numerous home foreclosures, real estate in Reno is very affordable at this time. Even luxury downtown Reno condos such as, “Montage Reno” have been reduced to a sale price of almost fifty percent from its peak.
The state of Nevada is attractive to many because there are no state income taxes and sales tax is lower. Reno is a growing area for individuals and businesses who move there to benefit from lower taxes.
You don’t need to spend lots of money to have a good time in Reno, unless someone has a gambling problem (You can get help at the national gambling anonymous hotline). You can also enjoy a cheap massage, parking and cheap gas, making Reno the way to go for an affordable, good time.
